COSF contributions to the Conejo Open Space Challenge

Published by Steve Clark on

This year the Conejo Open Space Foundation, COSF, provided $250 in gift cards for local restaurants as prizes. The people who completed all 10 trails were entered in a drawing to win these and others as prizes.

The Conejo OS Challenge offers open space users an incentive to explore 10 lesser-known COSCA trails every year, submit photos of their adventures, and perhaps win some prizes.

This year 98 hikers, mountain bikers, runners and equestrians overcame COVID-19 complications to complete the 10 Challenge trails. COSTAC Chair and event coordinator Steve Bacharach hosted a virtual celebration and prize drawing for the Challenge finishers.

Donations also came from Pedals & Pints, Fleet Feet, JOi Café, and Newbury Park Bike Shop. For more details and to see photos, go to our Conejo Open Space Challenge page. To get an announcement of next year’s Challenge, be sure you’re signed up to receive the COSF newsletter.

In addition to providing funds for prizes, COSF also hosts information about the Challenge on their website.

To help us continue to improve the Conejo open space areas for everyone to enjoy, please consider making a charitable donation or volunteering some of your time to help. We give a hearty Thank-You to those who contribute towards making the Conejo Valley open spaces such wonderful places to visit!
